System Shock and High On Life just became VR games — on the same showcase

The VR Games Showcase aired August 13, 2026, hosted by Jamie Feltham, with close to 30 games revealed or updated.

The two headline announcements were System Shock VR and High On Life VR — flatscreen-to-VR conversions from publisher Flat2VR Studios, coming to PC VR, Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2.

System Shock VR remakes the 1994 original with HD visuals, updated controls, and the return of SHODAN's original voice actor.

Confirmed near-term releases include Knights of Fiona (Sept 3), The Lightkeepers at $19.99 (Sept 10), and Zero Caliber 2 on PSVR2 (October).

Neither System Shock VR nor High On Life VR has a release date yet — both are listed as TBD.

I'd rather see one more classic ported to VR properly than five new mid-budget wave shooters, and this showcase leaned that way for once. A first-person immersive sim like System Shock actually…
