In fact, it is given by a series of conditions that the European Union has imposed so that the messaging platform can continue operating on the old continent. These focus on the possibility of allowing the platform to work jointly with other messaging applications. That is, we must give our consent so that other apps of this type can send us messages to WhatsApp, and receive them from it. Basically with these measures what the EU intends is to give an opportunity to other minor messaging platforms and avoid monopoly that the large companies in the sector currently have.
But not only that, but it is also intended that the users of these messaging applications have more freedom to choose the proposal that interests them the most.
Date for the important change of WhatsApp
