Since the Switch 2 went to $499.99 on 1 September, bundles are where the value is. The context is in Switch 2 after the price hike: buy now or wait? But "bundle" doesn't automatically mean "deal". So I priced every bundle I could find against its parts bought separately, using the same day's prices, and noted what's actually in each box.

Separate prices are Nintendo's own on 25 Sep: console $499.99, Mario Kart World digital $79.99, Switch Sports Resort digital $49.99 (pre-order). The Mario Kart World and Sports Resort bundle pages list "a full download" or a "digital game download" plus a 3-month Nintendo Switch Online individual membership. I haven't counted the membership in the savings, because Nintendo's site lists only annual prices ($19.99 a year for an individual plan) and no standalone 3-month price. So the real savings are a little better than shown. The Zelda edition's contents list is hardware only.
Digital game vs a physical copy
Every bundle game is a digital download, tied to your Nintendo account. That's fine for most people, but you can't resell or lend it. If that matters, compare against buying the console plus a physical copy: Amazon.com had Mario Kart World on a physical cartridge at $79.00 on 25 Sep. With the console at $499.99, that's $578.99, so even Nintendo's own bundle still saves $29.00. You're trading resale value for the discount.
Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle
The best bundle maths I found: $503.11 sold by Amazon.com on 25 Sep 2026, for the console plus a digital Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza or Pokémon Pokopia. $76.87 under buying the console and Mario Kart World separately. Confirm the price at checkout.
The fallback if the Choose Your Game price has moved: $549.99 sold by Amazon.com (same at Nintendo and Best Buy), $29.99 under buying separately, plus 3 months of Switch Online. Avoid the $619 reseller listing.
If you want Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza or Pokopia, get the Choose Your Game bundle while it's near $503. It's the console plus a game for about $3 more. If that's gone, the Mario Kart World bundle still beats buying separately by $29.99. Skip the Zelda edition unless you specifically want those Joy-Con: it's $20 more with no game.
Best for: Switch 2 buyers comparing bundles against the $499.99 console after the September increase.
