This page explains exactly what Aliteq collects, why, and what you can do about it. We've kept it specific rather than generic — if something isn't listed here, we don't collect it.
The short version
- We don't ask you to create an account to read anything.
- Analytics cookies are off until you accept them. Decline and no analytics cookies are set.
- We only store an email address if you personally type one into the newsletter box.
- We don't sell your data, and we never have.
What we collect
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles people read. It runs under Google Consent Mode with every storage category set to denied by default, so no analytics or advertising cookies are set unless you accept them in the banner. If you decline, Google receives only aggregated, cookieless signals that cannot identify you.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless by design and does not fingerprint or track individuals across sites.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address, the page you subscribed from, and the timestamps of your signup and confirmation. That is the complete list — we do not ask for or store your name, location, or IP address. We use it only to send the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe from any email.
Server logs
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (including IP address) to serve pages and protect against abuse. This is a technical necessity of putting a website on the internet and is handled under Cloudflare's own terms.
Who processes your data
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, cookieless analytics.
- Google — Google Analytics 4, only after you consent.
- Supabase — stores the newsletter list and our article database.
Advertising
Aliteq does not currently show ads. If that changes, this page will be updated before any advertising code is added, and advertising cookies will remain gated behind your consent exactly as analytics cookies are today.
Some outbound links are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission if you buy something. They never change the price you pay and never decide what we cover — see our editorial policy. Affiliate links do not track you across the web on our behalf.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. In practice, the only personal data we hold is a newsletter email address — and you can have it erased at any time by emailing us or clicking unsubscribe.
You can change or withdraw your analytics consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which resets the banner.
Our legal basis is consent for analytics cookies and the newsletter, and legitimate interest for the minimum server logging needed to keep the site online and secure.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Aliteq is written for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
