SE Ranking costs $129 a month for its Core plan, or $103.20 a month if you pay for a year. Growth is $279 a month ($223.20 yearly), and Enterprise is priced on request. Both self-serve plans come with a 14-day free trial that doesn't ask for a credit card. For most small businesses and single stores, Core is the plan to start with. From SE Ranking's subscription page and FAQ, 31 October 2026. Rank tracking is daily on all plans, and the FAQ says SE Ranking "tracks the full Top-100 daily".

Which plan a small business needs

Core fits a single store, a local business or a small team. Ten projects covers your own site plus a few competitors or extra domains, and 2,000 daily keywords is far more than most small sites track. The 250,000-page audit allowance comfortably covers a large product catalogue.

Growth is for agencies or companies running several sites: more projects, more seats and a white-label option. If you're one business with one site, you're unlikely to need it.

What costs extra: add-ons sit on top of the plans. SE Ranking's FAQ mentions an Agency Pack "from $69/mo", and its subscription page lists separate content marketing, local marketing and AI-visibility tools. Check the subscription page for the current add-on prices before you budget for them.

The free trial

SE Ranking's FAQ: "The trial runs 14 days, with no credit card required to start." During the trial you get 10 projects, 3 manager seats, 750 tracked keywords a day, research reports and a website audit. Its Terms of Service confirm the trial term of "fourteen (14) days".

Because no card is needed, the trial can't roll into a paid plan by accident, unlike trials that start with your card on file.

Refunds and cancelling

SE Ranking's subscription page: "You can cancel anytime. Payments are non-refundable, except in cases where the service wasn't delivered as promised." So try it during the free trial, and pay monthly until you're sure. A yearly plan saves 20% but won't come back if you change your mind.

Prices from both vendors' pricing pages on 31 October 2026. Semrush has the larger database and more marketing tools beyond SEO. SE Ranking gives a small business more tracking for less money. Semrush also has a free plan, covered in Is Semrush free?.

Does SE Ranking work with Shopify?

SE Ranking's FAQ names WordPress and Wix as its supported website builders and doesn't mention Shopify. We found no official SE Ranking app for Shopify. You can still track a Shopify store's rankings and audit its pages, because those features work on any public website. What you won't get is a built-in way to publish or edit Shopify content from SE Ranking.

Our recommendation

For one store or one local business, start with SE Ranking Core on the 14-day trial: it covers rank tracking, a site audit and a first look at AI-assistant visibility, and the trial can't roll into a charge because there's no card on file. If you need Semrush's larger database or its marketing tools beyond SEO, try Semrush's free plan first.
