Can your PC run Battlefield 6? (2025)

EA's big-scale shooter, out since October 2025. EA's official tiers are native resolution with no upscaling, and they're reasonable: 6 GB runs it at 1080p Low, 8 GB covers 1440p High. 4K Ultra is the 16 GB step. EA also requires TPM 2.0 and UEFI Secure Boot to be enabled.

The short answer

Battlefield 6 needs a bare minimum of 6 GB of VRAM to launch. For a good experience you want 6 GB and a RTX 2060 / RX 5600 XT / Arc A380 at 1080p, 8 GB and a RTX 3060 Ti / RX 6700 XT / Arc B580 at 1440p, 16 GB and a RTX 4080 / RX 7900 XTX at 4K. VRAM is the hard wall — fall under it and you get stutter and texture pop-in no matter how fast the card is.

1080p6 GBRTX 2060 / RX 5600 XT / Arc A380Official minimum: 1080p 30 FPS, Low, native. The recommended 8 GB tier also lists 1080p 80+ FPS on Low.
1440p8 GBRTX 3060 Ti / RX 6700 XT / Arc B580Official recommended: 1440p 60 FPS, High, native.
4K16 GBRTX 4080 / RX 7900 XTXOfficial Ultra: 4K 60 FPS Ultra (or 1440p 144 FPS Medium), native. Ultra++ (4K 144 FPS High with DLSS) lists an RTX 5080.

Will your graphics card cope?

A green/amber/red read on VRAM only — enough memory to hold Battlefield 6's textures at that resolution without thrashing. It doesn't promise a frame rate (that's the recommended-GPU column above); it tells you whether a card clears the memory wall.

How this is worked out — and its limit

The requirement tiers come from EA (official PC specs) — the publisher's own stated specs.

The green/amber/red verdict is computed from each card's real, fixed VRAM against that floor. VRAM is a genuine hard limit — under it, textures spill to system memory and the game stutters regardless of raw speed.

What it is not: a frame-rate promise. Two cards with the same VRAM can play very differently, and upscaling (DLSS / FSR) shifts the maths. We don't publish an FPS number because we don't run our own game benchmarks (editorial policy). Use the recommended-GPU column for the speed question, this table for the memory one.

Battlefield 6: common questions

How much VRAM do you need for Battlefield 6?
6 GB is the absolute minimum to launch. In practice you want 6 GB for 1080p, 8 GB for 1440p, and 16 GB for 4K at high settings. Ray tracing and higher-resolution textures push the number up; upscaling like DLSS or FSR pulls it back down a little.
Is 8 GB of VRAM enough for Battlefield 6?
For Battlefield 6, 8 GB clears the 1080p floor. It's fine at 1080p high with quality upscaling; 1440p is workable but leaves little headroom. In 2026, 8 GB is the floor, not the futureproof pick.
Can an RTX 3060 run Battlefield 6?
On VRAM, yes — its 12 GB clears the 1080p (6 GB) floor comfortably, and it has the memory for 1440p too. The 3060 is a 1080p card in raw power, so treat that as its home resolution and lean on upscaling for anything heavier.
Can an RTX 4060 or RX 7600 run Battlefield 6?
These are 8 GB cards. They meet the 1080p VRAM floor, so 1080p high with quality DLSS/FSR is the sweet spot; 1440p will ask you to manage texture settings. For real longevity at 1440p and up, 12-16 GB is the safer buy.
