Which Higgsfield model should I use?

Pick the job first. Higgsfield's own guide points to Seedance for realistic people, Kling for cinematic or stylised clips, Lipsync Studio for talking heads, Marketing Studio for product ads, Soul for fashion images and Nano Banana for product shots. A 5-second 720p clip costs 5 to 35 credits.

What does Higgsfield itself recommend?

Higgsfield groups its models into image, video and audio families and tells you to pick the family that fits the job. Its Which AI model should I use? article sums it up: "For video, Seedance handles realistic motion and Kling handles longer or multi-shot clips." You don't pick a version. The same article says "Higgsfield uses the latest available version" within each family.

Here is Higgsfield's video table, word for word:

For beginners, the same article's answer is: "Soul for images if you want the signature Higgsfield look, or Nano Banana for fast results with straightforward prompts. For video, Seedance is the most forgiving starting point." Note what the table leaves out. Veo and Sora are described only as "Google's model" and "OpenAI's model", with no use case attached.

Two rows are tools, not models. For a product ad, Higgsfield's Which Higgsfield tool should I use? article says: "Use Marketing Studio if you want to create product ads, UGC-style videos, or campaign assets from a product URL or image." For a talking person, its Lipsync article sends you to Lipsync Studio, where you upload a character image, type the line, and choose a model. "Anime" is our word. Higgsfield's guide uses "stylized" and points that job to Kling.

How many credits does each video model cost per clip?

On 26 October 2026, a 5-second 720p clip on Higgsfield cost between 5 credits (Seedance 2.0 Mini) and 35 credits (Seedance 2.5), per Higgsfield's own cost check. Veo is dearer per second: 40 credits for a 4-second Veo 3.1 clip. The bars below are the standard quotes for one clip at 720p (Hailuo at 768p), with the clip length Higgsfield prices.

Credits for one video clip on Higgsfield, 720p (26 Oct 2026)

Seedance 2.0 Mini, 5 s5 credits
Minimax Hailuo 2.3, 6 s at 768p6 credits
Kling 3.0 Turbo, 5 s7.5 credits
Kling 3.0, 5 s, sound off7.5 credits

Kling 3.0, 5 s, sound on10 credits
Seedance 2.0 Fast, 5 s12.5 credits
Veo 3.1 Fast, 4 s16 credits
Seedance 2.0, 5 s22.5 credits
Grok Imagine Video 1.5, 5 s22.5 credits
Seedance 2.5, 5 s35 credits
Veo 3.1, 4 s40 credits

In dollars, at the Plus plan's monthly rate of $59 for 1,200 credits (about $0.049 a credit), that's roughly $0.25 for a Seedance 2.0 Mini clip, $0.37 for Kling 3.0 with sound off, $1.72 for Seedance 2.5 and $1.97 for a 4-second Veo 3.1 clip. That's our arithmetic, assuming you use every credit in the month.

A few things move the price. Kling 3.0 costs more with sound on (10 credits instead of 7.5 in our quotes). Seedance doesn't: Higgsfield's Seedance article says the audio toggle doesn't change the cost. Higher resolution and longer clips cost more on every model. Kling 4.0, added on 21 October, quoted only 2.5 credits for 5 seconds at 720p. Its changelog entry says it launched with a limited-time discount, so we left it out of the bars. The exact cost always appears on the Generate button before you confirm. Our Seedance cost guide has every Seedance version at every resolution.

Which video model should I pick: Kling, Seedance, Veo, Hailuo or Wan?

Higgsfield's split is simple: Seedance when the people need to look real, Kling when the shot needs to look directed. Its help center says "Use Seedance when realism is the priority" and "Use Kling for cinematic output or when building multi-shot scenes."

  • Seedance (ByteDance). Higgsfield's model guide says it's "built for realistic motion, especially human movement, expressions, and scene dynamics." Seedance 2.5 makes clips of 4 to 30 seconds with synchronized audio, and isn't on Starter. Starter gets 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini.
  • Kling (Kuaishou). Higgsfield's Kling article calls it "built for stylized and multi-shot filmmaking", with motion transfer from a reference clip. Kling 3.0 goes up to 4K, 3 to 15 seconds. The same article recommends Kling 3.0 Turbo "for drafting and prompt testing before committing to a full render". Our Higgsfield vs Kling page compares Higgsfield with Kling's own app.
  • Veo (Google). Higgsfield's guide gives no use case beyond "Generate video with Google's model". Its Lipsync article lists Google Veo 3.1 for "Cinematic talking video". It's the dearest per second of the models we priced.
  • Minimax Hailuo. "High-dynamic video at fast speeds," per the guide. At 4 credits for 6 seconds (2.3 Fast, 768p), it's one of the cheapest ways to rough out an idea.
  • Wan. Higgsfield says Wan "gives you precise control over the first and last frame of a generation, useful when you need to continue a scene or match a specific start or end state."

If you want camera control across a whole scene rather than a single model, Higgsfield points to a tool instead. Its model guide says: "For cinematic multi-shot video with full camera control, use Cinema Studio, which is a tool, not a model." We cover it in our Cinema Studio guide.

Draft cheap, render once: Higgsfield's own advice in four steps
  1. Pick the family for the job

Seedance for realism, Kling for cinematic

  2. Draft on a fast variant

    Kling 3.0 Turbo, 7.5 credits

  3. Keep the prompt that works
  4. Render the final on the full model

    Check the Generate button first

Which image model should I use: Soul, Nano Banana, GPT Image or Seedream?

For images, Higgsfield recommends Soul for fashion, cinematic looks and one consistent face, and Nano Banana when you're working from product or character references. GPT Image is its pick when the image needs readable text, and Seedream when the prompt is long and complex.

Soul's strength, per Higgsfield, is character consistency: "train a character once as a Soul ID and reuse the same face across generations." Its Soul article adds one catch: with a reference image attached, the prompt field becomes unavailable. Nano Banana takes up to 14 reference images on Pro and 2, per Higgsfield's Nano Banana article, which also names Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 as the ones that "render accurate typography".

Cost here depends on settings. Our own quotes on 26 October were 1.5 credits for Nano Banana 2 at 1K, 2 for Nano Banana Pro at 2K, and 0.25 for GPT Image 2.5 at low quality and 1K. For a side-by-side of the two most popular image models, see Soul vs Nano Banana.

Which models are Unlimited on my plan?

On 26 October 2026, the Unlimited lists on Higgsfield's individual plans were mostly image models. Among the video models on this page, only Kling 3.0 appeared, for 7 days on yearly Plus and yearly Ultra. Seedance Unlimited came only with the Team (Seedance 2.0) and Scale (Seedance 2.5) business plans, both at 720p.

Two rules matter more than the list. Higgsfield's Unlimited models article says "Unlimited access applies only on higgsfield.ai", so MCP, the CLI, Canvas and Supercomputer always deduct credits. And Unlimited runs in the standard queue, while "credit-based generations always run in the priority queue". The 365-day offers in the pricing data were marked "Buy until: October 27", so check the plan card if you're reading this later. Our Unlimited guide has the full plan-by-model table.

Do I have to choose a model at all?

No. Higgsfield's tool guide says "Most tools can start with a default model," and you can switch later. Its model guide adds that switching models "doesn't delete your existing generations". If you just want a product ad, Marketing Studio's template flow returns a finished ad "in one click, with no prompt required", and its Recreate button shows the credit cost before you confirm.

Choosing a model yourself pays off in two cases. One is cost: Seedance 2.0 Mini at 5 credits against Seedance 2.5 at 35 is a seven-fold difference for the same 5 seconds. The other is Unlimited: if your plan has a model on Unlimited, using it costs no credits on the website. Higgsfield's guide also notes that "Model availability depends on your plan", so a model you read about may not be on yours.

What we couldn't verify

  • Quality. We didn't generate test clips for this page. Every "best for" line is Higgsfield's description, not our judgement.
  • Starter's model list. The Starter card names Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini and "selected models & features". We couldn't confirm which other video models Starter includes.
  • Kling 3.0 resolution in our quote. Higgsfield's cost check prices Kling 3.0 by mode (standard, pro, 4K), not by resolution. Our 7.5-credit standard quote matches the pricing table's "~7" for 720p, but the check doesn't say 720p.
  • Higgsfield Speak 2.0 and DoP. We couldn't get these from the cost check, so their figures come from the pricing page's table, marked approximate with "~".
  • Kling 4.0's regular price. It was discounted at launch, and the changelog only says the exact price is on the Generate button.
  • Sora. Higgsfield lists Sora as "OpenAI's model", but we found no Sora credit rate on the pricing table and no Sora model in the cost check, so we left it out.
  • Other regions. We read from Europe. Higgsfield serves different plan sets, so US visitors may see different prices and Unlimited lists.

Our verdict

Start with Higgsfield's own split: Seedance for real-looking people, Kling for cinematic or stylised shots, Lipsync Studio for talking heads, Marketing Studio for product ads, Soul or Nano Banana for images. Then let cost decide the version. Draft on Seedance 2.0 Mini, Kling 3.0 Turbo or Hailuo Fast at 5 to 7.5 credits, and spend 35 credits on Seedance 2.5 or 40 on Veo 3.1 only for the final.

Plus is the cheapest plan that lists "Access to all models & features". Starter is fine if Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini plus Soul cover your work. If you care most about Unlimited, read the plan card first: on 26 October no individual plan made Seedance, Veo, Hailuo or Wan Unlimited. And remember the refund rule: first purchase only, within 7 days, with no credits used.
