Seedance not working? Blocked, failed, stuck or missing from your plan: the fix for each

Blocked for IP, failed, stuck in the queue, or Seedance 2.5 missing from your Higgsfield plan: each has its own fix. We checked what Higgsfield's and ByteDance's own pages say about each, which failures refund your credits, and when Kling 4.0 or another Seedance version is the better rerun.

Seedance not working? Start with the app that ran the job, then check the Seedance version against your plan. Seedance is ByteDance's video model family, and whichever app runs it owns the queue, the credits and the refund rules. On Higgsfield, which resells Seedance next to Kling and other video models, two causes are specific to Seedance and documented in Higgsfield's own help center: its Seedance article says Seedance 2.5 "isn't included in Starter and Basic", and its IP article says some models, "such as Seedance, also run their own separate IP check that Higgsfield can't override." A failed job shouldn't cost you anything there: "You get the credits back automatically, usually within a few minutes." Everything below comes from the vendors' own pages (Higgsfield, ByteDance Seed, BytePlus, Dreamina and Dola), read November 7, 2026 unless another date is given, plus one user report from Reddit and two clip tests we ran on Higgsfield.

This page goes symptom by symptom, Higgsfield first, then Dreamina, Dola and the BytePlus API. For what Seedance costs, where it's free and how it compares with Kling, start at our Seedance 2.5 guide to cost, free routes, comparisons and fixes.

Where are you using Seedance?

Seedance comes from ByteDance Seed, ByteDance's research team, but its own site isn't where you generate: the Seedance 2.5 page sends you on with "Try now" (to Dreamina), "Try Dola", "Try in Playground" and "Get API" buttons. ByteDance's API platform, BytePlus, also names "video generation platforms like Higgsfield, Runway, DreamBench" as places to use the model. Whichever app ran your job owns the queue, the credit balance, the content rules and the support desk, so settle that first. This is what each route's own pages said on November 7, 2026, including whether it serves the US:

Where you run Seedance decides the fix (each route's own pages, read Nov 7, 2026)

Seedance not working? Check in this order
  1. Higgsfield, Dreamina, Dola or the API?

Each runs its own queue, credits and refunds

  2. Is that version on your plan?

On Higgsfield, Seedance 2.5 needs Plus or higher

  3. Blocked? Change the input

Names, logos, branded references, real faces

  4. Stuck? Read the tile

Only a Queued job can be canceled

  5. Failed? Check the refund

    Manage Account, then Usage

  6. Failing for everyone?

    Higgsfield's changelog and status page

  7. Wrong clip? Fix the shot, or switch

Bitrate, prompt and references, or Kling 4.0

Our order of checks, built from Higgsfield's help center, changelog and model catalogue and from BytePlus's own pages, all read November 7, 2026.

Find your Seedance symptom (vendors' own pages, read Nov 7, 2026, and our tests)

Seedance 2.5 isn't in your list, or won't run

Likely cause
Your plan: Higgsfield's Starter and Basic don't include it
What to do
Move to Plus or higher, or use Seedance 2.0 Fast, which Starter includes

No Draft option, or Seedance 2.0 Mini unavailable

Likely cause
Your region: Higgsfield offers neither in the US (Mini checked Nov 3)
What to do
Test at 480p instead (a 1080p rerun makes a new clip), and use 2.0 Fast in place of Mini

"IP detected" or "Rejected due to copyright restrictions"

Likely cause
A name, logo, team, artist or reference image tripped Seedance's or Higgsfield's check
What to do
Describe instead of naming and swap the reference; credits come back in most cases

Blocked after uploading a photo of a person

Likely cause
Possibly a face check: ByteDance's API restricts real faces in Seedance 2.5; Higgsfield publishes no Seedance face rule
What to do
Use a reference without a real face. Higgsfield's terms require consent for every face you upload, and rights paperwork "does not guarantee" approval

Stuck on Queued, Processing or Generating

Likely cause
Waiting for a slot, or still running; on Sep 30, Seedance 2.5 ran slow on the provider's side
What to do
Only a Queued job can be canceled, with the credits back; the rest finish or fail, and failures refund. Credit jobs use the priority queue

Failed, or failing for everyone

Likely cause
A provider outage (five Seedance incidents, Sep 1 to Oct 3), a skipped captcha ("Something went wrong"), or a very long prompt or heavy files
What to do
Check Higgsfield's changelog and status.higgsfield.ai; complete any captcha, simplify, and retry

Edit or extension ignored your length or aspect ratio

Likely cause
Documented: an edit ignores both and is billed by the source video's length; an extension keeps the source's aspect ratio
What to do
Not a fault, so trim or reframe the source first (our advice)

Rendered, but the product or logo is wrong

Likely cause
Not a failure, so no refund (our reading)
What to do
Check every second, check the Bitrate setting for small text, or switch model

Why can't you use Seedance 2.5, Draft Mode or 4K?

Start with the plan. Higgsfield's Seedance help article says Seedance 2.5 "is available on Pro and Plus plans and above and isn't included in Starter and Basic." Pro and Basic are older plan names; the individual plans on sale are Starter, Plus and Ultra (pricing page, Nov 7, 2026), which makes Plus ($59 a month, or $47 a month billed yearly) the cheapest one that includes it. What each Seedance version costs on Higgsfield, plan by plan has the full table. A free account is no way around it: Higgsfield's plans article says that without a paid plan, "access is limited to a small set of models and doesn't include credits", and every Seedance clip is priced in credits on the Generate button.

Higgsfield's pricing page, Included in plan section of two plan cards: the Starter card lists Seedance 2.0 Fast & 2.0 Mini access (outlined) and the Plus card lists All Seedance models (outlined)
Higgsfield's plan cards (higgsfield.ai/pricing, signed out, read November 7, 2026): Starter, left, includes only Seedance 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini; Plus, right, includes all Seedance models. Outlines ours. · Screenshot of higgsfield.ai by aliteq

The other "not available" moments come from the model, your region or the way you reach it:

  • Seedance 2.0 itself needs Plus too; Starter gets only 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini. Higgsfield's model catalogue says Seedance 2.0's standard mode, which "supports 480p/720p/1080p/4k", "requires a Plus plan or higher (Pro on legacy plans)" at any of those resolutions, while Fast "supports 480p/720p only" and is "available from the Basic/Starter plan".
  • Seedance 2.5 stops at 1080p on Higgsfield. Its settings go up to 1080p, Higgsfield's Aug 6 launch note mentioned 4K only as "upscaling up to 4K", and the 4K version of Seedance 2.5 that BytePlus announced on Oct 27, 2026 is for enterprise. A 4K render on Higgsfield comes from Seedance 2.0, at about 110 credits for 5 seconds (cost check, Oct 26; pricing table, Nov 7), or from Kling 3.0's 4K mode at 30 credits (Nov 3).
  • No Draft option in the US. Higgsfield's changelog introduced Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode on Sep 22, 2026, "a 480p draft first, then a 1080p render of the one you choose", for "all regions except the US, where the provider doesn't offer the model." Its model settings still list a draft that "can be finalized within seven days", so a missing Draft option in the US is expected. A plain 480p test (15 credits for 5 seconds, Nov 3) isn't the same: Draft Mode's final render "keeps the original settings: prompt, references, seed, aspect ratio, and duration", and Seedance 2.5's settings in Higgsfield's catalogue list no seed, so a 1080p rerun makes a new clip, not a sharper copy of the one you liked (our reading).
  • On Higgsfield, Seedance 2.0 Mini isn't offered in the US. On November 3, 2026, Higgsfield showed "Seedance 2.0 Mini is not available in US" under the model; 2.0 Fast is the budget version there. Dreamina is different: its Seedance price page (dated Oct 27, 2026) tells eligible US Basic users they can "explore Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Fast and Mini", with Mini at 5 credits a second at 720p.
  • Unlimited doesn't apply everywhere. Higgsfield's Seedance article says generations "through Canvas, MCP, CLI, and Supercomputer always deduct credits regardless of any Unlimited access on the web." If an Unlimited Seedance window seems ignored on the website too, why Higgsfield Unlimited isn't working has the checks.

Seedance 2.5's own limits on Higgsfield, from its model catalogue: clips of 4 to 30 seconds in whole seconds, at 480p, 720p or 1080p, with sound on by default (Higgsfield's Seedance article says the sound toggle "doesn't change the cost of a generation"). It takes up to 50 references, "30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio files", and has four modes: text-to-video, references, video edit and video extension. Three of its settings behave in ways that look like bugs but are documented in that catalogue. An edit is "billed by that video's duration" and ignores the duration and aspect ratio you set. An extension, forward or backward, ignores the aspect ratio because "the output follows the extended video". And finalizing a draft "renders the draft's full duration and is billed for it".

Why did Seedance block your prompt or upload?

Something in the prompt or a reference looked like protected IP, either to Higgsfield's own filters or to a check Seedance runs that Higgsfield doesn't control. Higgsfield's help article on copyright and IP blocks says: "Some models, such as Seedance, also run their own separate IP check that Higgsfield can't override, similar to how external NSFW filters work." Its list of common triggers: "Named fictional characters from major franchises (Disney, Marvel, DC, Pixar, Nintendo, and others), sports team names and league branding (NBA, NFL, EPL), named living artists or photographers whose style is specifically referenced, and branded product names or logos used as generation subjects." The prompt doesn't have to name anything: "Reference images can also trigger IP detection if they contain recognizable characters, logos, or branded elements." And Higgsfield's stuck-or-failed article says an "IP detected" message means the model recognized "copyright-protected content such as known brands or actors".

Two crops from Higgsfield's help article on copyright and IP blocks, outlined: Some models, such as Seedance, also run their own separate IP check that Higgsfield can't override, similar to how external NSFW filters work; and Credits for generations blocked due to IP flags are returned automatically in most cases

What Higgsfield says to change, in its own words:

  • Describe, don't name. "Rephrase using descriptive language instead of proper names." Its own example turns "Spider-Man" into "a hero in a red and blue suit with a web pattern".
  • Swap the reference. "If your reference image contains visible logos, branded merchandise, or recognizable copyrighted characters, replace it with a neutral image."
  • Claim an input you own. If the block hit your own photo, video or character, "you may see an I own the rights for this image button in the lower-right corner of the generation. Selecting it can unblock the generation when the input is eligible."
  • Don't expect an override. "IP blocks apply platform-wide and can't be overridden for individual accounts", and for original work caught by mistake, "in most cases the block can't be lifted: the safety systems are conservative by design."

Higgsfield says the credits usually come back: "Credits for generations blocked due to IP flags are returned automatically in most cases. Verify in Manage Account → Usage." The same article's FAQ says "for most models", without saying whether Seedance's own check is one of them, while Higgsfield's stuck-or-failed article says a generation that trips the copyright check fails "and the credits are refunded". A blocked generation has no page in Assets, so if the refund is missing, Higgsfield asks you to send support "the approximate time of the generation, the model, and your prompt". The other Higgsfield error messages people search for, with Higgsfield's fix where it publishes one, are in Higgsfield error messages, decoded, and NSFW flags have their own guide, why Higgsfield flags a generation as NSFW.

What about a photo of a real person?

Higgsfield publishes no Seedance-specific rule on faces, so here is only what each company's own pages say:

  • Higgsfield's Terms of Use (updated Oct 23, 2026): if you upload a photo or video with someone's face, you warrant that "you have obtained all consents, releases, and permissions required under applicable law from each individual whose face or voice is included" (s.5.3). Section 15 adds that rights documentation, "including likeness rights", "does not guarantee that such content will be approved", and that Higgsfield and "in some cases its Third-Party Infrastructure providers" can decline content "regardless of any claimed license or rights documentation submitted by you".
  • Higgsfield's Seedance article, on keeping one character across several clips, says: "If the character is a real person, train a Soul ID first and create the Element from its portraits." It doesn't say whether that changes Seedance's own checks; how Soul ID training works covers the photo set it needs.
  • ByteDance's API platform: BytePlus's Seedance 2.5 launch post (Aug 6, 2026) lists "Technical controls to restrict making videos from images or videos that contain real faces", and says clients "can complete real-person verification and likeness authorization through the ModelArk console". Its error codes include "The input image may contain a real person. Please replace it and try again."
  • Dreamina and Dola: Dreamina's help page says "Only upload material you have the necessary rights and permissions to use. Respect the privacy and likeness rights of the people shown", and Dola's terms bar content that "impersonates or is designed to impersonate a celebrity, public figure or a person other than yourself" unless it's labelled "unofficial" or "parody" or you have "that person's explicit consent".

We haven't uploaded a real face to Seedance on Higgsfield, so we can't say whether Higgsfield's Seedance applies the same face check as BytePlus. If the clip is for a client or a paid ad, read who carries the IP risk in client work on Higgsfield before you put a real person or brand in it.

Did your credits come back after a failed Seedance job?

On Higgsfield, yes, without asking: its stuck-or-failed article (updated Oct 24, 2026) says "You get the credits back automatically, usually within a few minutes. Check Manage Account → Usage to confirm." Where the refund line appears, which jobs you can still cancel and what to send support are in our guide to Higgsfield's queue statuses and refunds.

How long should a Seedance job take?

Higgsfield publishes no times per model; its help center says only that "Most stuck generations resolve on their own within a few minutes". In our one timed run on November 7, 2026, paid with credits, a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip took about six minutes, roughly twice as long as Kling 4.0's clip in the same run (we submitted Seedance first; Kling finished in about three minutes). Unlimited and free jobs can take longer still, because they "run on a shared pool, so they can take longer, depending on current load." Big jobs slow down too: "Very long or complex prompts and heavy input files can fail or take longer than usual: simplify and retry", which matters on a model that takes up to 50 references.

When Seedance itself is down

It happens. Higgsfield's changelog has five Seedance entries between September 1 and October 3, 2026, each blaming a provider-side issue, and four of them say failed generations were refunded automatically:

Seedance incidents in Higgsfield's changelog (read Nov 7, 2026)

  1. Sep 1, 2026

Seedance 2.5 generations were "failing more often than usual"; resolved, and credits for failed generations were refunded automatically

  2. Sep 10, 2026

Seedance 2.0 generations failing more often than usual; resolved, with credits refunded automatically

  3. Sep 30, 2026

Seedance 2.0 failures and Seedance 2.5 delays; resolved, with no refund line, only "If any of your generations failed, you can run them again."

  4. Oct 1, 2026

Seedance 2.0, 2.5 and 2.5 Draft Mode failing or running slow; resolved, with credits refunded automatically

  5. Oct 3, 2026

Failed and slow generations, "mostly on 2.0, 2.0 Mini, 2.0 Fast, and 2.5 Draft Mode"; resolved, with credits refunded automatically

No newer Seedance entry had been posted by November 7, when status.higgsfield.ai said "All services are online" and showed "100% uptime" for Video Generation. That line covers every video model, with none for Seedance, and it wasn't on the status page when we checked on October 4, 2026, after all five incidents, so for Seedance the changelog is the better record (our reading).

The Seedance clip came back, but it's wrong

A clip that renders wrong isn't a failed job, so no refund rule covers it (our reading of Higgsfield's and BytePlus's rules). In our 10-clip product video test on November 3, 2026, Seedance 2.5 kept the product right in 3 of 5 tries, and Higgsfield charged 35 credits a try, so each usable clip cost about 58 credits (our arithmetic). The two failures weren't glitches: the product quietly changed, once growing a folded cuff and once collapsing into a crumpled shape.

Five frames from each of five Seedance 2.5 tries of a plain dark knit beanie on a light-grey studio surface, with a hand lifting it: tries 1, 2 and 5 marked usable; try 3 shows a folded cuff from its first frame; try 4 starts as a crumpled, pinched shape
Seedance 2.5, five tries of one store-ad brief, Nov 3, 2026, frames at 0, 1.25, 2.5, 3.75 and 5 seconds. Both failures changed the product from the first frame: try 3 grew a cuff, try 4 started crumpled. · Aliteq test, made with Seedance 2.5 on Higgsfield

On November 7 we gave Seedance 2.5 and Kling 4.0 one text prompt for a coffee-mug ad, one try each, at 5 seconds, 720p and 9:16. Seedance kept the BREW logo small, as the prompt asked, but barely readable, and put the mug in a plain room under hard stripes of sun instead of a café with soft light. Kling 4.0 kept the logo readable, though larger than asked, and Higgsfield charged 11.25 credits for its clip against 35 for Seedance's. Our comparison page shows both Nov 7 clips, frame by frame.

Close-ups of the mug logo from the middle frame of each Nov 7, 2026 test clip, enlarged 2x at the same scale: Kling 4.0's BREW in large, clear letters; Seedance 2.5's BREW tiny and faint, with a thin line above and below

Small logo or text unreadable? Check the bitrate first

One setting is worth a look before you re-roll. We generated that clip through Higgsfield's own connector, where Seedance 2.5's bitrate defaults to "standard", and by our reading of the file its video ran at about 1.4 Mbps, against 5.2 Mbps for Kling 4.0's clip. Higgsfield's web panel showed Bitrate set to "High" when we priced the same settings on November 7, and its changelog (Jun 19, 2026) says the High option gives "higher video quality at the same credit cost; the final file is larger." So check that the panel shows High on higgsfield.ai, and set it yourself through the connector (our advice). We haven't run the shot at High, so we can't promise it fixes a small logo, and a rerun is still a new clip at full price.

Higgsfield's own fixes for a clip that misses the brief

Higgsfield's Seedance help article has a short troubleshooting list. In its words:

  • Watch the whole clip. "Most quality problems appear at the 5 to 8 second mark: check whether the motion holds throughout and whether the camera move executed."
  • Change one thing at a time. "If something is off, change the prompt or the reference, not both at once."
  • Name the camera move. If the move is ignored, "Replace vague terms with specific ones: dolly in, pull back wide, arc right, crane up."
  • Anchor the character. If a face drifts halfway, "Add more specific visual anchors: hair color, clothing details, distinguishing features", and across clips, "reference the character as an Element."
  • Bridge a cut. For jerky motion between clips, "Generate the final frame of one clip and the opening frame of the next as references, then use first-and-last-frame to generate the transition between them."
  • Write in order. "subject and action first, setting and lighting second, camera move third, mood or style last."

What we'd add from our two tests (our advice):

Check the product in the first frame as well as the last. In our Nov 3 test, both failed Seedance tries had already changed the hat in their opening frame, one with a cuff and one crumpled.

Budget for re-rolls. Our brief said "no cuff", and one Seedance try added a cuff anyway.

Rehearse cheap. Higgsfield's own advice is to "prototype at 720p with short clips, lock your prompt first, then run the final version at full resolution and length."

When switching is the fix

If the same problem survives a few rewrites, try another model before another re-roll. Higgsfield's own model guide (last modified Nov 6, 2026) still calls Seedance "the most forgiving starting point" for video beginners and says "Use Seedance when realism is the priority", so switch for a specific reason. These are the switches the specs support:

Switch to what, and when (Higgsfield's catalogue and prices, and our tests)

Kling 4.0

Length and resolution
3 to 30 s; 720p or 1080p
Switch to it when
A logo or on-pack text has to read; in our Nov 7 test it kept BREW readable
Credits on Higgsfield
11.25 for 5 s at 720p on a launch discount, 13.75 listed (Nov 7)

Seedance 2.5 at 480p

Length and resolution
4 to 30 s; 480p
Switch to it when
You're checking wording and motion before a full render; a 1080p rerun makes a new clip
Credits on Higgsfield
15 for 5 s (Nov 3)

Seedance 2.0 Fast

Length and resolution
4 to 15 s; 480p or 720p
Switch to it when
You're on Starter, or drafting short 720p clips
Credits on Higgsfield
About 12.5 for 5 s at 720p (cost check, Oct 26)

Seedance 2.0

Length and resolution
4 to 15 s; up to 4K
Switch to it when
You need 4K, on Plus or higher; Higgsfield says 2.5's "prompt adherence is noticeably better"
Credits on Higgsfield
About 110 for 5 s in 4K (cost check, Oct 26)

Seedance 2.0 Mini

Length and resolution
4 to 15 s; 480p or 720p
Switch to it when
You want the cheapest 720p drafts on Higgsfield and you're outside the US
Credits on Higgsfield
8 for 8 s at 720p, on a discount (Nov 3)

At 720p, Kling 4.0 costs about a third of Seedance 2.5's 35 credits per 5 seconds while its launch discount lasts, and about two-fifths at its listed price (our arithmetic); Higgsfield's changelog gives the discount no end date, only "for a limited time, as of October 21, 2026". Kling vs Seedance, job by job says which model to pick for which brief, and Higgsfield's own model picks for each job sum up its help center. If you move to Kling's own site and hit its queue, Kling AI not working covers kling.ai's rules. To leave both, the other video models we priced per clip, from Veo 3.1 to Wan 3.0 go model by model.

Set 5 seconds and 720p before you compare: Higgsfield's default for Kling 4.0 is 10 seconds at 1080p, which the Generate button priced at 32.5 credits on Nov 7, almost the price of a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip.

Seedance not working on Dreamina, Dola or the BytePlus API?

Then Higgsfield's refund and queue rules don't apply; each route has its own. This is what their own pages say, read November 7, 2026.

Dreamina

Dreamina publishes no rule on credits for a failed generation: we found none on its help page, its free-credits guide, its Seedance pages or its terms. What its pages do say:

  • Why a job won't start. Dreamina's guide to free AI video credits (dated Oct 22, 2026), which compares several tools, asks "What can stop generation when the balance looks sufficient?" and answers "The selected model may require a paid plan, the free queue may refuse submission, the requested duration may exceed the mode's limit or another quota may apply." Its advice before a project: after a completed request, "record the actual balance change", and "Keep a rejected submission separate from a failed render."
  • Which Seedance the free credits reach. Dreamina's own pages disagree on whether free credits reach Seedance 2.5; Dreamina's free daily credits and what they buy sets the two pages side by side.
  • The queue. On Dreamina, "Paid plans add watermark-free downloads and a faster generation queue," and its Seedance price page (dated Oct 27, 2026) adds that "Processing priority, queue access and concurrency depend on current plan and product conditions." On October 31, Dreamina users reported Seedance 2.5 generations "stuck at 99% for over 10 hours" (r/Seedance_AI, read Nov 3).
  • Blocks. Dreamina's help page says a blocked prompt "may relate to our content rules": read the message, review the Community Guidelines, and "If you believe there has been a mistake, include the message and relevant details when contacting support." Those guidelines are enforced "using a mix of technology and human moderation".

Dola

Dola is the assistant ByteDance Seed's Seedance 2.5 page links to with "Try Dola". Its terms (updated Sep 4, 2026) say it's provided by SPRING (SG) PTE. LTD., a Singapore company, "for private and non-commercial use", and that "We make no warranty that the Services are available or will continue to be available in certain jurisdictions." We found no list of the countries it serves and no rule for failed video generations. Subscription refunds "are granted solely at our discretion" and are requested "through Settings → Help and Feedback in Dola"; the contact address is feedback@dola.com. For store ads and client work, that non-commercial clause matters more than any fix (our reading).

BytePlus ModelArk (the API)

BytePlus is for developers outside the US: its Seedance 2.5 announcement ends "(Note: BytePlus is not available in the United States)." Its pricing page says "You are only charged for successfully generated videos. No fee is charged if generation fails due to reasons such as content moderation." Its error-code page covers all of ModelArk; these are the failures that fit a Seedance video job (our selection), with BytePlus's own fix:

A real-face block on BytePlus is a rule, not a bug: the same launch post describes "Technical controls to restrict making videos from images or videos that contain real faces", and offers "a library of over 10,000 high-quality virtual human assets" alongside likeness authorization through the ModelArk console. Support runs through a ticket in the BytePlus console, linked as "Contact support" on its blog.

Who to contact, and who publishes a status page

All checked on November 7, 2026:

  • Higgsfield: support@higgsfield.ai for "Billing, refunds, and anything that needs a look at your account", or its Discord for product questions; where to get help from Higgsfield covers the rest. Status page: status.higgsfield.ai, plus the changelog for resolved incidents.
  • Dreamina: its help page says "Use the contact details in the Terms of Service applicable to your region" and asks for "the error message or a screenshot". Its global terms give dreaminaglobal@bytedance.com and say US users are covered by separate Dreamina US Terms of Service, so check the address there. No status page: none is linked from its help page, and status.dreamina.capcut.com doesn't exist.
  • Dola: feedback@dola.com, and refund requests through Settings → Help and Feedback in the app. No status page found; status.dola.com doesn't exist.
  • BytePlus: a support ticket from the BytePlus console. No public status page found; status.byteplus.com doesn't exist.

What to send, whichever route (our advice): the date and time with your time zone, the Seedance version and mode, the length, resolution and bitrate, the exact prompt, your reference files, and screenshots of the message and your credit balance. On Higgsfield, add the generation ID; a blocked job has none, so give the time instead.

What we couldn't verify

  • What a US account sees for Draft Mode. The changelog excludes the US, but the model settings still listed a draft option on Nov 7, 2026.
  • Whether Higgsfield's Seedance runs BytePlus's checks. BytePlus documents real-face and generated-audio checks for its API, and Higgsfield's changelog calls Seedance 2.0 Mini "exclusive to Higgsfield with BytePlus" (Jun 21, 2026), so BytePlus supplies at least part of Higgsfield's Seedance. Higgsfield doesn't say which BytePlus checks apply, and we didn't upload a real face.
  • Whether High bitrate fixes small text, or is the web default. We haven't run High, and higgsfield.ai showed it to us once, signed out, so we can't say every account starts there.
  • Whether blocks from Seedance's own IP check are among the "most models" that refund. Higgsfield's stuck-or-failed article says copyright-blocked generations are refunded; its IP article says "in most cases" and "for most models" and names no exceptions.
  • Dreamina's rule for failed generations, and its US terms. None of the Dreamina pages we read covers credits for a failed job, and the separate US terms weren't among the pages we could open.
  • Where Dola works, and what it does with a failed video job. Its terms list no countries and no rule for failed generations.
  • Wait times per model. No route publishes them; our timing is one run on Higgsfield.
  • Outages nobody posted. Higgsfield's changelog lists the incidents Higgsfield chose to post, and its status page has no Seedance line to check against.

Verdict

Check the plan, the input and the changelog first

When Seedance isn't working, check the plan, the input and the changelog first. On Higgsfield, Seedance 2.5 needs Plus or higher and Seedance's own IP check can't be overridden, so describe instead of naming and swap branded or real-face references. Failed jobs refund on their own; a clip that renders but misses the brief doesn't, so check every second, check the Bitrate setting on small-text shots, and switch to Kling 4.0 when a logo has to read. Off Higgsfield, BytePlus charges only for successful videos but isn't available in the US, and Dreamina and Dola publish no rule for failed generations.

Best for: Creators and store owners whose Seedance clip failed, stalled or was blocked, on Higgsfield, Dreamina, Dola or the BytePlus API

Seedance troubleshooting: quick answers

Is Seedance down right now?
We found no status page for Seedance on ByteDance's sites, Dreamina, Dola or BytePlus (checked Nov 7, 2026). On Higgsfield, check status.higgsfield.ai and its changelog, which posted five resolved Seedance incidents between Sep 1 and Oct 3, 2026. If jobs fail for everyone at once, wait and retry; on Higgsfield, failed generations refund automatically.
Why does Seedance say IP detected?
A copyright check fired on a name, logo, team, artist or a reference image. Higgsfield says some models, "such as Seedance, also run their own separate IP check that Higgsfield can't override". Rephrase in descriptive words, swap a branded reference for a neutral one, or use the "I own the rights for this image" button if the blocked input is your own image. Higgsfield says the credits come back automatically "in most cases".
Why isn't Seedance 2.5 available on my Higgsfield plan?
Higgsfield's help center says Seedance 2.5 "isn't included in Starter and Basic"; Plus is the cheapest plan on sale that includes it (checked Nov 7, 2026). Starter gets Seedance 2.0 Fast.
Do I get my credits back when a Seedance generation fails?
On Higgsfield, yes: "You get the credits back automatically, usually within a few minutes" (help center, read Nov 7, 2026); check Manage Account, then Usage. On BytePlus you're "only charged for successfully generated videos". Dreamina publishes no rule for failed generations. A clip that finishes but comes out wrong isn't a failure, so by our reading of those rules it keeps its cost.
Can Seedance use a photo of a real person?
No page we read guarantees it. ByteDance's API platform restricts Seedance 2.5 videos made from real faces, with "real-person verification and likeness authorization" for its API clients. Higgsfield publishes no Seedance face rule, requires consent for every face you upload, and says rights paperwork "does not guarantee" approval. For one real person across clips, Higgsfield's Seedance guide says to train a Soul ID first. We haven't tried a real face on Higgsfield's Seedance.
Why is my Seedance video stuck at 99%, and how long should it take?
No route publishes wait times per model; Higgsfield says only that most stuck generations "resolve on their own within a few minutes". Our one timed Seedance 2.5 run on Higgsfield (Nov 7, 2026, 5 seconds, 720p, paid with credits) took about six minutes. On Oct 31, 2026, Dreamina users reported Seedance 2.5 generations "stuck at 99% for over 10 hours"; Dreamina publishes no rule on credits for a failed job. On Higgsfield, only a Queued job can be canceled, and failed jobs refund automatically.
Why is the logo or text blurry in my Seedance clip?
In our Nov 7, 2026 test, Seedance 2.5 kept a small logo small but barely readable at 720p, and its file ran at about 1.4 Mbps on the connector's standard bitrate. Higgsfield's changelog says High bitrate gives "higher video quality at the same credit cost", so check that setting; we haven't tested whether it fixes the logo. Kling 4.0 kept the logo readable in the same test.
Is Seedance available in the US?
Yes, through Higgsfield and through Dreamina, whose pages give US free accounts 120 credits a day and list Seedance 2.5, 2.0, Fast and Mini for eligible US Basic users. On Higgsfield, Draft Mode and Seedance 2.0 Mini aren't offered in the US (Mini checked Nov 3, 2026). BytePlus, ByteDance's API platform, says it "is not available in the United States", and we found no country list for Dola (checked Nov 7, 2026).
